Beginnings
Bunbury Skin Cancer was founded in 2009, and is the region’s first and only dedicated skin cancer clinic.
The clinic was formed by Dr Gavin Matten and Dr Fred Pretorius, two General Practitioners with a long history of caring for the local community, who had gradually gained an interest and expertise in the field of skin cancer medicine.
Since founding, the clinic has grown in numbers, and has moved into a larger, purpose-built facility, however it remained true to its roots of family medicine and providing excellence in care to the local community.
